a comment that turned out to be a blog itself!

Posted in Uncategorized by clash on August 22, 2005

One of my seniors from B’lore had his trip to kullu-manali. coincidence if you can call it, i also ventured on a journey to the same place during those days. unfortunately we did not meet up. i was posting this comment on his blog.. that more or less turned out to be a blog by itself..

I experienced(www.subhashnm.blogspot.com) all the same when i was trodding the winding roads that lead to LEH, just that i had small stop over in “OLD MANALI”- the hub of all for phirangi’s who end up there, and i prowled for the quintessential secret that manali is famous for and i did get my hand on it, just that it made a big hole in my pocket, as big as one that a nuke can make.but i dont mind.. manali-malana.. i have been hearin all these crap all the while.. i was ready to forego anything for that and i did.
Now that did give me a different perspective as always it does. i was climbing the winding roads in a cab with a driver who rarely uttered anything to us in the whole journey, in distance i could see some frozen water-call it ice and that was the first time im seein the natural formation! i was listening to a song-knock knockin on heavens door from a friends i-pod.did i really knock ?? i dunno.. i was muddled in the quintessential delusion that the “secret” always pushes you to!

    Hey man!
The Old Manali episode is yet to come :)Who in his good senses can miss out on the charm of Vasisht and Old Manali And the famed Malana stuff, I did see it finally. I didn’t try it though, only for the reason that I hadn’t done it before, when I should have 😉
I guess you conquered the Rohtang two days after I left Manali. Else we could’ve met up…Now when?
